WSP is currently seeking an exceptional candidate for a Mechanical Intern for our Honolulu office for Summer 2018 .
This opportunity is available for a college student in good standing working towards a DEGREE in Mechanical Engineering within an accredited program. The candidate will gain experience in PROJECTS under direct supervision of the firm's leading Mechanical Engineer professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize engineering design, computer and communications skills to assist in developing appropriate solutions for our projects
Learn basic principles of HVAC and Plumbing system design and become familiar with Revit and engineering software applications
Perform basic engineering design and production and construction administration services
CURRENT standing as a Freshmen/ Sophomore (T5 Intern I) or Junior/ Senior (T6 Intern II) student actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate Program.
Ability to work full time
Knowledge of AutoCad, Revit and or Solidworks
Interest in innovative design, specifically in renewable energies and sustainable, high performing buildings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to drive projects forward
Ability to perform well under time constraint
Candidates must be local to the Honolulu area
The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
