Summary of Responsibilities

The DO reports directly to the Concept General Manager. The DO prioritizes, directs and coordinates activities of the Brand to continually strengthen its brand position and maximize its sales and profitability.

Essential Functions

  • People:

Coaches/ builds an Area Coach Team, capable of strengthening the Brand's competitive position and maximizing its sales and profits.

Achieves store level management staffing and development to meet current as well as future growth opportunities.

Has active succession planning processes in place for all key positions.

Maintains an open door policy and demonstrates urgency in addressing employee grievances.

Ensures safety is a CORE Value.

Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations & company policies.

  • Financials:

Achieves results to plan.

Addresses & corrects financial deficiencies with urgency.

Drives growth in sales and profits.

  • Operations:

Maintains operational metrics and performance standards to meet or exceed Brand targets and standards.

Plans, coordinates and directs the operational teams.

Maintains compliance with all CORE standards.

  • Facilities:

Maintains company facilities to Brand standards.

Ensures that facilities are clean and safe.

Safeguards against accidents and liability exposure.

  • Restaurant Industry:

Keeps abreast of restaurant industry trends through trade journals, conferences,

personal contacts and travels.

  • Franchise Relations:

Ensures compliance of all terms of the franchise policy manuals & standards.

Keeps abreast of any new Franchisor initiated programs.

Maintains a positive and productive working relationship with Franchise Business Representative.

  • Marketing:

Maintains awareness of marketing results against preset objectives.

Maintains good awareness of competitors' marketing programs and activities.

Protects and reinforces the Brand Position.

Implements local marketing initiatives and programs with the Director of Marketing.

  • Strategic:

Implements action plans on key opportunities that improve the Brand's competitive position and profitability.

Mentors Area Coaches toward the achievement of key objectives.

Reviews strategic objectives regularly and implements effective action plans to correct unsatisfactory results.
