Hawaii Pacific Health Administrative Secretary - Philanthropy in Honolulu, Hawaii
Hawai‘i Pacific Health is a nonprofit health care system formed in 2001 with the merger of three longtime Hawai‘i health systems. It is the state’s largest health care provider, committed to providing the highest quality medical care and service to the people of Hawai‘i and the Pacific Region through its four hospitals, 49 outpatient clinics and service sites, and more than 1,300 affiliated physicians. The system is anchored by its four flagship nonprofit hospitals: Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, Pali Momi Medical Center, Straub Medical Center and Wilcox Memorial Center, which have led groundbreaking initiatives in women’s health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care and bone and joint services. Hawai‘i Pacific Health ranks among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide in the adoption of electronic medical records, with system-wide implementation that allows its hospitals and physicians to offer integrated, coordinated care throughout the state.
The Philanthropy department at Hawai‘i Pacific Health aims to create and develop sustainable philanthropy initiatives across the organization. As a nonprofit hospital system, we provide care to all people, regardless of their ability to pay. Philanthropic support from the community is therefore vital and enables us to ensure that everyone who needs care can receive it. Donors help to bring state-of-the-art technologies to Hawai‘i because our families deserve them. Donations are utilized in patient services and programs, research and education, areas of greatest need at each facility, and endowment.
If you are reliable, organized and proactive, you may be the ideal candidate for our Administrative Secretary position, where you will help the Philanthropy department accomplish its goals. The Administrative Secretary is often the right-hand person that facilitates and delegates every day operational and administrative tasks, helping to execute the leadership’s vision and providing overall administrative support for the department. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment, has excellent customer service and communication skills, pays strong attention to detail and is committed to helping our organization deliver the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.
